Through the Meerhins project, Christophe Houssin, the saga’s composer, challenged himself: compose a movie score… without a movie!

From the start, the idea was to picture what a movie adapted from the books could be like and to imagine the different musical themes. Each title, with its symphonic tones, sheds a new light on a character, a place, a key scene, giving them a whole new dimension.

The voices and choruses recorded on some of the titles are sung in Shaïn, the Meerhins language invented by the author. (translations available in each booklet)

The first two albums, Meerhins – The Secret of the Soulmates and The Guardian of the Sourlands, each contain about fifteen original titles. Discover some extracts below.
